Programme Basics
On all our programmes you can have per day :-

* Unlimited black tea or coffee.
* Tablet Sweeteners.
* Half Pint SKIMMED Milk per day for tea/coffee (add 100 calories)
* OR 1/4 Pint of soya/almond milk
* Must have 3 to 4 litres of still, sparkling or soda water
* Add certain spices, salt & pepper to your mealpaks.
* Week 4 add a meal from our specially selected food lists.
* Add food from a restricted list daily for the regular programme
* Programmes vary from 600 calories through to approx. 880 calories
* Free Journal and Journal Book with add a meal list inside for ALL clients.

As with all diets, you are advised to seek medical advice before
starting any weight loss programme. VLCDs are for short term use only and W8 Programmes limit this to three weeks before we ask you to introduce small amounts of foods from a special food list. NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) Dec 2006 reports that VLCD's cannot be used for longer than 12 weeks, even if medically monitored. W8 is also a LCD and not all our programmes are a VLCD.

W8 is concerned that some VLCD's do not comply with this and a diet of 580 calories can be used for many months, with no food.
