Unlike some other VLCD programmes we believe that food is vital to our health at all times.

We completely disagree with this approach as do many GPs. We can live without smoking and alcohol, but we cannot live without food!
At W8 we do not believe that removing food from your life for long periods of time will help you, most people find this very difficult and give up.
Instead, we have introduced a list of healthy foods that you can eat -depending on which programme you are on - that will still enable you to lose weight quickly and this will help you to complete your weight loss journey.

No – if you normally have 2,000 Kcal a day and then you go to 500 Kcal per day, your body does not go without – it turns to your fat stores to find the missing calories, this is called dietary ketosis.
Combined with all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients in the W8 mealpaks, you really do start to feel great!

The normal amount of water for good health is about 2.5 litres per day. When you embark upon a weight loss programme and reduce the amount of conventional foods you are eating it is important to increase your water consumption to approximately 3-4 litres per day.
This will replace the water that is normally present in the conventional foods you had before dieting and will avoid any dehydration.
It is vitally important that you drink the water over a full day and not consume large amounts of water in one attempt or in a short period of time.
IMPORTANT: If you have NOT staggered your water consumption throughout the day, please do NOT consume large quantities all of a sudden. |
