Controlling your weight range
Maintenance, that lovely word, you have achieved the first part of your weight loss programme. You have nearly lost that unwanted weight, adopted a new way of eating, increased your level of activity, stood firm with your food cravings, had it your own way in restaurants and turned all those missed opportunities into new achievable opportunities.
Whether it has taken you a few weeks or a few months, you have travelled a long road, remember when you first started with All About W8, you were overweight, a little depressed maybe and unsure whether this was the plan to change your life around once and for all, well you did it! So a very big pat on the back for you, Congratulations.
Now, what is maintenance? Well for us at All About W8 it is not about maintaining your weight "the same" for the rest of your life, the human body just does not work like that, it is about having a weight range that is controlled, by you! Something you could not do before. If you gain a few pounds over a certain weight, you act on it and can lose it quickly. You will now behave and think like a slim person.
There are two phases, phase 1 will bring in more conventional foods and phase 2 will teach you many fundamental things you need to know so you can make good food choices for the rest of your life.
As you are approaching your ideal goal weight, it is time to start to plan the next stage. On Rapid, Regular, Weekend or Fastrack. Then All About W8 will introduce you to regular eating using more conventional foods, reduce your Mealpaks down to 2 per day. You will have 1 healthy main meal, 3 healthy snacks, 2 Mealpaks, 8 large glasses of water and half pint of skimmed milk per day, you can even have a range of treats, such as a glass of wine a week and even some chocolate, all in moderation of course. This is the perfect next step from programmes 1-4 , we call this phase 1 of your maintenance plan.
You can stay on this plan until you are ready to move to phase 2 of maintenance, but no sooner than 4 weeks must be completed, so we can see if your weight goes up or down and recommend the best course of action for you.

What is Maintenance Control Phase 2?
This stage is all about adopting a lifelong healthy eating plan. You have now learnt new controls, but you also need the foundations of knowledge so you can make sensible food choices and build this into your everday life.
Maintenance control will give you the understanding of making those food choices, you will be able to set a weight range, so you can monitor your weight on-going and an alert system if you fall above 5lbs or below 5lbs of this weight range. This will all be done from your online client pages. Remember if you have a Consultant, you still have a client page, all your details are entered onto our main system and you can enjoy all the benefits that your client page can offer you.
You will have a calculated calories intake, that can be adjusted until you find the right balance for you.
To get started on maintenance control, you first purchase the book at £6.95, online or through your Consultant, this will then give you all the details on how to set your weight range and your long term eating plan.You cannot start Maintenance Control without this book, and you must have been on phase 1 for at least 4 weeks.

Remember, losing the weight is the easy bit, it is vital you go through phase 1 and phase 2 to ensure all that you have achieved is not wasted.
