Weight loss dieting

All your energy comes from the food you eat. If you eat more than your body needs, it is stored as fat. If you reduce calories or burn calories, your body uses its stored fat to make up the difference. This is why VLCD and LCD low calorie weight loss dieting programmes work when you want to diet to lose weight. All About W8 provide 5 programmes to help you with losing weight – 2 are a VLCD (very low calorie diets) and 3 are low calorie quick weight loss programmes, all programmes will give you quick weight loss, followed by a Maintenance Control plan, which will keep your weight off long term.

Regular exercise has many health benefits and will aid weight loss on our programmes. Studies show that people who follow a reduced Calorie diet and increase their regular exercise have more success than people doing one without the other. Exercise is brought into all our Programmes from week 5 onwards in a gradual way. The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to find a combination of diet and exercise that is right for you and you can maintain long term.
Light to moderate exercise is fine on any of our programmes. When you start a reduced calorie diet we ask that you carry on doing whatever exercise you normally do. Please don't 'go mad' and start doing major exercise routines if you are not used to this. Our programmes reduce your calorie intake and then slowly increase your exercise in after week 5 - this is the safest option to build exercise into a rapid weight loss diet.
