Hi everyone

Tuesday, 17 Aug at 12:44

Well 2 weeks over now - just Momentum to go starts on Sat. (oh, just remembered I have a Deaf rally in Cornwall on the 27th - 30th). Weigh-in today & was surprised to find I was 4lbs lighter (that's 8lbs in the 3 weeks I've been away) - why surprised? well I've had bronchitis & haven't had any appetite so haven't followed the plan strictly. I have however avoided the many chip & goody vans on site apart from 1 piece of fish & chicken fillets (without the chips), on separate occasions that is. I did have a doughnut 1 day but definitely didn't enjoy it & so kept that feeling in mind to avoid further temptation. I've been having a packet of crisps & a glass of wine each day when away, think I needed the salt from the crisps because wasn't able to have spag bol or cottage pie.

I'm starting to feel better now, at the end of my antibiotics, although still coughing lots so will be careful in case I need to go back to the docs.

Welcome back Trish - you have been greatly missed. I'm still plodding away on the plan & after todays weigh-in my total is 3 st 3 lbs - 45lbs altogether in 15 weeks - just noticed that is a definite average of 3 lbs a week despite the weeks when I've lost nothing (cos of period) or only a lb cos cheated. So be encouraged all of you who, like me, have weeks when nothing seems to be happening. I'm feeling so much better in myself & the clothes I can now wear again - I've had so many compliments about my 'lovely tops', I can see my waist again & I'm happy to show it off, I'm walking so much further than when I first started this back at the beginnning of May, when I struggled to walk from the nearest spot in the carpark to any entrance, my ankles no longer swell up after standing any length of time - I could go on with all the seemingly insignificant benefits - but together they reinforce the determination to carry on, the small weight losses each week are having huge benefits to my everyday life & to my moods & state of mind.

I have really missed reading the blogs on a daily basis & I'm looking forward to getting back into my routine & strictly following the plan at the start of Sept.
Hoping all of you are still getting the results you want & all the newbies are settling into a W8 way of life.

Much Love
Linda

Linda, great to see you are still here, and you have done so well. Well done you....thats when it hits home you need to keep going...had i stuck to the diet when i started middle of Feb i could have reached my target of 4 or 4 and a half stone.....instead of mucking about...did lose 18 lbs but put 9 on....so its great to hear your average loss and has spurred me on....also the bit about the swollen ankles....by mid afternoon my legs are double the size and feel they are going to explode....little wonder carrying 4 extra stone about!! Hope you are feeling a lot better, keep going and keep telling us the benefits...it really does help big time. thanks for that.x

3tone, that has got to be the equivalent of a 3 year old child,
just imagine having to carry a 3 year old around
all of the time! Well done! Deb :)
